Jon graduated from the College of the Holy
Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1975. He
then attended law school at the University of
Richmond where he earned his Juris Doctorate in
1978. After law school, Jon moved to Hampton Roads
where he soon began work with one of the largest
law firms in Norfolk, Virginia; Kaufman and Canoles,
P.C. He later decided to further concentrate in
real estate law and thus joined what is today,
one of the leading real estate law practices in
Virginia; Sykes, Bourdon, Ahern and Levy, P. C..
Jon has been a member of the Virginia Bar Association
for over twenty-eight years and in the early 1990’s
was on the attorney’s approval list for
the Resolution Trust Corporation. He has handled
creditor foreclosures and bankruptcies for over
twenty-five years. Jon has constructed a large
real estate closing and settlement department
that provides for issues relating to all manners
of commercial and residential law. His paralegals
have over seventy-five years in combined experience
in real estate law.
In developing his foreclosure and bankruptcy practice
within Sykes, Bourdon, Ahern and Levy, P. C.,
he wanted to provide a niche that allowed for
more personalized service for his clients. As
such, Sykes, Bourdon, Ahern and Levy, P. C. can
address the needs of their clients in ways the
larger competitors cannot.
Jon is admitted to practice in Virginia, U.S.
District Court, Eastern and Western Districts
and U.S. Bankruptcy Court. |
